Elevator Pitch No. 1

1.) The opportunity is that there are so many people that drive, yet have so much trouble finding parking around here.

2.) The solution is this app called iDrive. This app shows all available parking spots around your area so you can find a parking spot with ease. It also includes other functions which I explain in my elevator pitch.

  1. An app like this would be so useful! I know I am always struggling to find parking that either has no parking restrictions or if the restrictions are lifted, finding a spot that is available. One question is how will these spots be monitored throughout the day to know they are open or not? Good job. I think it's well though out. Here's mine http://entpitch1.blogspot.com/

  2. Hey Jason,
I think you have a great idea here! As someone who has their car and drives around campus I would definitely use this app. It is pretty interesting because my idea is also transportation related and so are many of the other proposals that I have commented on. It goes to show you how much of an issue parking and transportation is here on campus. If you want to check out my idea for a scooter rental service, the link is below!

  3. Jason, this is such a great idea. I thought it was a great addition that you mentioned the tow away zones and the price of parking meters. What would the technology be behind this app? I'm imagining the development of a new type of sensor to determine whether or not the spot is available. This technology would be extremely helpful for urban areas where parking is extremely limited, and of course for college towns like Gainesville. Feel free to check out my elevator pitch as well, http://jessjohns1.blogspot.com/2016/02/elevator-pitch-1.html
